FOX TV News Story Video (06/09)
This permanent supportive housing for disabled veterans and non-veterans would operate as a secure environment to recover and reestablish productive lives. The participants are veterans and non-veterans with disabilities and will include those suffering from substance abuse. They will live in the buildings, which will be renovated into 147 private units. New Directions and A Community of Friends, their experienced development partner, are hoping for local, state, and federal funding for the extensive project once the details of the lease of the buildings from the Federal Government are finalized.

Congressman Sherman, and the leadership of New Directions, have asked the community to consider the program, its value and impact on the local community, as well as its value to the Southern California area. They have asked for input of the neighborhood. We urge your participation into the study of this program as a long-term partner in the community.
